Caring for our community
It's a funny thing that last week I called the City of Auburn to ask about a local drainage pond after all the snow melt. I am always looking for ways to help our watershed and would like to involve the community around environmental projects. I was advised to call Erika, the Neighborhood Program Coordinator. We talked about how she has been busy getting this new program up and running, and now it is here!
Congratulations Erika and to the City for the idea. I hope many will sign up and share our interests and unite to help make Auburn even better.
I have helped with Clean Sweep every year and volunteer at the Farmers Market. I am interested in litter clean up, neighborhood beautification projects, community gardens, walking groups, garden sharing groups and maybe some "brain storming" coffee hours when COVID allows.
Look forward to meeting you all.
